The Canadian version has some notable differences: As you can see, the playing field is different, you can't go behind the goal, and some of the sound effects are different. Something interesting was recently pointed out to me: on the Canadian game pictured below, the hockey sticks on the 'shot' buttons are facing each other, where on the box (and all other games I've seen, even Canadian ones) both sticks point to the left. Seems to be a fairly rare variation (the German one pictured below also has this variation...).
